Victor Cutler, who started at left tackle for Louisiana Monroe last season, announced Wednesday he will transfer to Ohio State.
Victor Cutler, who was the starting left tackle at Louisiana Monroe last season,The Buckeyes have targeted a variety of offensive linemen who entered the portal since the window for players to put their names into the online databaseThe position is one of need for the Buckeyes as they must replacefrom last season, including All-American tackles Paris Johnson and Dawand Jones and center Luke Wypler.
Along with starting all 12 games at left tackle for the Warhawks in 2022, Cutler has experience elsewhere along the offensive line, a level of versatility that could benefit the Buckeyes as they reshuffle up front on offense. He made five starts at right tackle in previous seasons and four at center in 2021.
According to Pro Football Focus data, Cutler allowed eight sacks over 432 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle last season. The Warhawks surrendered a total of 35 sacks, ranking 96th out of 131 teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision. A former two-star recruit from West Monroe, Louisiana, he spent four seasons at Louisiana Monroe before entering the portal. Cutler, listed as 6-foot-3 and 302 pounds, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
