Hawthorn have unveiled a secret weapon ahead of their march to the AFL finals with Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus a surprise guest at training. Titmus has returned home to Australia after winning another two gold medals in Paris and she was more than happy to show off her new bling at her favourite AFL team. The superstar swimmer, who now lives in Queensland, grew up in Tasmania and has been a lifelong Hawks fan.

But they are now one of the hottest teams in the competition and need to win their final two matches against Richmond and North Melbourne to seal an unlikely finals spot. “You don’t want to leave anything to chance so tomorrow they want to go in there by smashing the Tigers by as much as they can,” Titmus said. Titmus, who will take an extended break from swimming, is still on a high thinking about her time in Paris.
