Just 12 days out from their Olympic opener, Tony Gustavsson gets a final look at his players as they take on the world’s No.8 side. Follow all the action from Marbella, Spain.
This is Tony Gustavsson’s starting line-up, which as previously forecast is without the injured Steph Catley and Kaitlyn Torpey, while Tameka Yallop is also out due to a “minor impact injury” to her leg in training, and goalkeeper Teagan Micah arrived in camp towards the end of her rehab from an ankle injury, so she also won’t play this morning.
Please keep in mind that this match is a B international, which means it won’t count towards official statistics or ranking points - and the two teams have agreed that there will be unlimited substitutions. So do not expect this to be your regular 90 minutes. G’day and welcome to our live coverage of this morning’s Olympic warm-up match between the Matildas and Canada., and you’re extremely committed to be here with us this morning. Good areas by you. Kick-off is 5am, so get some caffeine into you.
The only way you can watch this morning’s match - the last one for Australia before Paris 2024 - is through Paramount+ so if you don’t have it, stay tuned, and we’ll take you through all the important moments. And if you do, I reckon you should still hang around.
