Like my addiction to diet soda, I’m not sure where the dinner-with-Jay discourse originated, taking us back to a time before concrete jungles where dreams are made of and umbrella-ella-ellas.
Choosing the dinner is making a huge assumption about success itself. We’re conditioned to covet, our lives framed by the continual contrast and compare of the infinite scroll. We see Jay-Z and his enormous fortune, and somehow the thinking follows that he can pass it on to someone else.
