Queensland Police Acting Detective Inspector Mark Proctor told Seven’s Sunrise that it was a tragic incident. “Surfers Paradise is actually quite a safe place, and incidents like this are isolated, however when you get alcohol mixed with young people and those sorts of things, they invariably happen,”
