Australia's domestic violence problem and the culture of 'corrosive' masculinity is central to a new art installation on the New South Wales north coast.

"It's corrosive, and it's counterintuitive, even to men."

"I think one of the really important things with this work is to acknowledge that masculine culture within society is inherently violence-supporting, it's celebrating violence," Mr Addinsall said. "There are many deaths where unfortunately we don't come across the names of the individual," says a researcher into violence against women."We have to be realistic, if you've been sort of marinated in a culture for 45 years … and then, you know, you were asking to be undone, sometimes it does take time," he said.Mr Addinsall is positive and at the same time realistic about the feedback they are getting from men on these new programs.
