Officers rushed to the 2400 block of Aberdeen Way about 8:45 p.m.
RICHMOND — A person suffered more than one gunshot wound after gunfire erupted Monday night, police said.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of Aberdeen Way about 8:45 p.m., after they received reports of a shooting, according to a statement from Richmond police spokesman Sgt. Donald Patchin. The victim was there when police arrived and had multiple wounds, he said. An ambulance took the person to a trauma center, Patchin said. The victim is expected to survive and was in stable condition at a hospital early Tuesday, he said.
Police have not arrested anyone, nor did they identify a suspect. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
