The Porter County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crash around 7 a.m. Tuesday in which a driver crossed the median and struck two other vehicles on Indiana 49, just south of County Road 600 North in Valparaiso.
Neither drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash and the female driver, who was the only one injured and was transported to a nearby hospital, may have had a medical emergency which led to the crash, according to Sgt.
Ben McFalls, public information officer for the sheriff’s department.The initial investigation shows a female driver operating a Jeep SUV was traveling southbound on Indiana 49 when for unknown reasons, the SUV crossed the grass median and struck two vehicles that were traveling northbound on Indiana 49, McFalls said.Advertisement
