A man was killed and two people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Newark, authorities said. The shooting took place shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the area of Isabella Avenue and South Orange Avenue in the Vailsburg section of the city. A spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said two of the victims were taken to an area hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
Additional information about what promoted the shooting or the conditions of the hospitalized victims wasn’t immediately available Thursday morning.
