Christine McVie, the British-born Fleetwood Mac vocalist, songwriter and keyboard player behind hits such as Songbird and Little Lies, has died.

She will be so very missed."

Ms McVie’s family issued a statement on Facebook, stating, “she passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness. She was in the company of her family”. The British singer-songwriter wrote some of the band’s most loved songs, including Little Lies, You Make Loving Fun, Everywhere and Don’t Stop. Ms McVie left the band in 1998 but returned in 2014. Fleetwood Mac shared a tribute on social media, writing, “there are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie”. “She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.”
