A 50p coin from 2009 has sold for £410 in an online bidding war. Bidders scrambled to get their hands on the 50p coin, which sold for 820 times its original value.
The latest coin people are being told to look out for is a 2009 Kew Gardens coin. It's estimated to be worth around £140, but as the years go by, they are becoming increasingly more collectible, and appear to be going up in price online.The Kew Gardens coin was released in 2009 to mark 250 years since the historic visitor attraction opened in 1759 and the Royal Mint estimate around 210,000 were made.
