Here is a guide on everything we know about Elder Nyon so far.Elder Nyon first appeared during the Amazon Lily arc where the Kuja tribe was introduced. During this time, the current empress was Boa Hancock. Elder Nyon was the empress three generations before Hancock. At present, it looks like she acts as Hancock’s advisor.
At some point in time when she was empress, she left Amazon Lily. She contracted the Love Sickness and fell in love with a man and went off to sea. She survived the Love Sickness but there were repercussions for her leaving the island. Love Sickness is the disease that the Kuja tribe empresses have which happens when they fall in love with a man.
She found Hancock and her sisters after they escaped from being slaves of the Celestial Dragons. She’s well acquainted with Shakky and Silvers Rayleigh because she became friends with them at the Sabaody Archipelago while taking care of the Hancock, Marigold, and Sandersonia. Eventually, the four of them returned to Amazon Lily.
There is not much known yet about Elder Nyon’s powers and abilities. However, since she was a former empress, there is no doubt she was strong and powerful. Even in her old age, she remains very agile. In one instance, she was able to catch up with Luffy, who was running off. She can also use Haki. Since she spent some time outside of Amazon Lily, she is knowledgeable in things the other Kuja are not aware of.The latest spoilers reveal that Elder Nyon was part of the Rocks Pirates.
