Kieran Loveridge has been released from prison on parole, almost 12 years after killing teenager Thomas Kelly in a shocking one-punch attack.
The man responsible for killing teenager Thomas Kelly with one punch in an alcohol-fuelled attack has been released after 11 years in prison.
Mr Kelly’s killer served 11 years in prison over the incident, as well as the assaults of four other people on the same night of July 7, 2012 before he was released from Broken Hill prison on Friday. He was denied parole last year when he became eligible, however it was granted two weeks ago when he was judged to have made “positive progress” in custody.
The hearing heard that Mr Loveridge had assaulted multiple people in prison and had been drunk and violent towards corrections officers as recently as February.
