Sabine has embarked upon an intense journey.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Sabine Wren’s story in Ahsoka continues to parallel a very familiar story from Star Wars Rebels, hinting at how her narrative might end. The Ahsoka Disney+ TV show is essentially Star Wars Rebels season 5, but a lot has changed for its stars in the intervening years. The Mandalorian Sabine Wren actually became Ahsoka Tano's Padawan for a time, and she's now returned to that role.
Ahsoka Is Deliberately Paralleling Sabine & Kanan Star Wars is paralleling Sabine's story with Kanan Jarrus, an Order 66 survivor who served among the Ghost crew for a time. Blinded after a confrontation with Darth Maul, in Star Wars Rebels season 3, episode 2 Kanan had to relearn how to reach out and see through the Force. During this time, he feels untethered, confused, and frustrated, just as Sabine does whenever she gets back to training with Ahsoka.
During Ahsoka episode 3, as Ahsoka begins to train Sabine using the Zatochi method, she says: “I want you to see with more than just your eyes.” She tells Sabine to follow her voice, take in everything around her, and sense her intention. This is very similar to what the Bendu told Kanan to do – seeing is about more than what the eye itself can detect.
