A total fire ban has been enforced for large parts of South Australia on Saturday.
Residents are being urged to minimise undertaking risky activities that could cause a blaze on Saturday as the state faces its first"significant fire danger weather".The state is facing its first significant fire danger weather for the season, as residents get an early taste of summer with temperatures forecast to hit 37C in Adelaide.
"I urge residents to check any recent private burn-offs today and tomorrow to ensure they are completely extinguished and cold," he said on Friday. Sky News Weather presenter Nikolina Kharoufeh said"a few different factors" are driving hot winds into the South Australian capital and raising the mercury.
