'It's called manners'
People have been discussing something so common in Merseyside that you'd be forgiven if you thought people did it all over the country.
Recent countrywide figures from the University of Sussex suggest that only one in five people say hello to their bus driver when they get on the bus. A shocking statistic in itself, made only more so by the figures suggesting that only one in 10 bother to acknowledge the driver when they get off the bus.
Reacting to the figures, people said they 'always' say thank you to the driver. On Facebook, Lisa Jane said: "I always say thank you before and after. It's called manners."
