The new unit opened in October 2022 but cardiac procedures have been delivered within the hospital for more than 20 years. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chief executive Alex Whitfield said: "This state-of-the-art facility allows us to meet current and future demand in providing efficient and sustainable health services for our growing population."
