A sub-contractor for the Sydney Opera House has got her job back after losing it over a drunken episode.Commissioner Ian Cambridge said "if one act of inoffensive drunkenness at an after-work function provided valid reason for dismissal, I suspect that the majority of Australian workers may have potentially lost their jobs".
A contractor working for Sydney Opera House has won her job back after getting drunk at a colleague's farewell.In a statement she said "it is true I was drunk, so drunk that I actually vomited... I have never been so drunk in my life". The woman strongly rejected the allegation that she sexually propositioned an Opera House manager and told him that he could "take advantage of me if you like".
