My wife dragged me out of my comfort zone to visit Spain on our own and to Central America with her La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club. Nothing expands one’s perspective like waking up in a new place, meeting new people and trying new things.
This year, I committed to consuming more than just the news, my usual reading fare, and thanks in part to modern technology enjoyed more than 40 audio books using CloudLibrary and Libby to access city and county collections.
Finally, vitriolic partisanship in our country has left people on just about every segment of the political spectrum wondering if we can ever heal the rifts within our government bodies, our communities and even our own families.
