Opinion: Look at San Diego's homelessness challenges with eyes wide open [Opinion]
1) Homelessness is a national and worldwide problem.
2) Providing well for the local homeless population won’t solve the problem since others will obviously then flock to this city.4) Our U.S. Congress members are so self-centered that no national solution will occur.6) In the absence of a national solution, controlled campgrounds have been a good partial solution in many cities.
7) The “homeless” consist of several disparate groups, and each group should be addressed individually. 8) Politics, as now selfishly and ineffectively practiced in this city, state and country, will prevent any good solution for the foreseeable future.
