The 862-page airport report was received by the San Diego Region Water Quality Control Board in December 2019. It’s available on the California State Water Resources Control Board’s interactiveThe report does point out that San Diego Bay and the Navy Boat Channel are within 200 to 300 feet of the airport. Therefore, PFAS groundwater/surface-water exchange could transmit recreational and food hazards into the bay.
