Opinion: San Diego, SANDAG should fix our streets before starting any new projects [Opinion]

” : Neither the San Diego Association of Governments nor the city of San Diego will be getting my vote for any new taxes for new projects until the city’s pitiful and disgraceful road conditions are addressed and remedied.

I have traveled to many cities and foreign countries that have much better roads and local transportation. In my opinion, both SANDAG and the city of San Diego have wasted so much money that could have been used to address this decades-old infrastructure issue. “America’s Finest City” has not had the best governance and has squandered our once-exalted position in the world.

Having to drive over torn up roads is frustrating and to have international visitors comment on the poor conditions of our roads is an embarrassment.
