So, how do we go about eating the elephant? Ten people will have ten different approaches. Perhaps a good first step would be acknowledging and accepting reality.What are the public police forces for? Some may say"law and order;" others say “to catch criminals;” and still others may say “to keep the peace.”
If keeping the peace is the primary goal, all the efforts to achieve it — such as arresting, searching, detaining and questioning suspects and surveilling — must be carried out as peacefully and safely as possible while respecting all persons. There is normally no need for extra tough measures when courtesy, a little forethought, adherence to the right procedures and human respect would suffice.
