Former state MP Peta Seaton will join a three-member panel charged with cleaning up the dysfunctional division, in a win for the federal opposition leader.
Former prime minister John Howard has strongly endorsed the takeover of the NSW Liberal division, saying it was necessary to defeat the Albanese government at the next election.
“As a life member of the NSW division, I care deeply about its place in the national affairs of the Liberal Party,” Mr Howard said. In a statement, the Liberal Party federal executive said the three-person panel would be in place until June 30, 2025.
