My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will offer expertise and support to the product team, assisting with technical challenges and application issues. They will create high-level solutions, design efficient database tables, and develop software that meets business needs.
Responsibilities also include designing, developing, and maintaining robust PL/SQL or SQL scripts and applications to ensure quality software solutions that deliver expected results and value. The role requires contribution to the Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure successful project completion. The candidate will assist with day-to-day queries from business users and PIT teams, providing first-line support and standby services when needed. Maintaining regular and professional communication across all levels, from junior staff to senior management, is crucial. The candidate will develop complex and highly technical specifications and programs independently and provide support to the team in resolving application or technical problems as they arise.The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 8 years + experience in PL/SQL or SQL. They should have advanced technical knowledge in all areas of application programming, system design, and update, storage, and retrieval methods. Strong customer liaison skills to define project specifications are essential, along with a strong mathematical and numerical aptitude. The candidate must be committed to delivering the highest possible quality of work, paying meticulous attention to detail and following instructions, adhering to standards, and working effectively as part of a team.
