The family of Oscar Knox has urged members of the public to donate platelets as Northern Ireland is facing high demand.
Each year, his parents Stephen and Leona continue to do so much for children who are battling cancer through the Oscar Knox Fund, which continues the legacy the little man left behind.The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service took to social media to share that they are currently facing high demand for platelets, and are urging the public to make an appointment to donate to help make a difference to people in need.
They said: "We sat in hospital with Oscar for hours on end waiting on platelets to become available so he could be well enough to go home. You can make an appointment to donate platelets through the NI Blood Transfusion Service by calling 08085534653.
