When it comes to catching up with old friends, it's the people that matter, not the place. But give a group of mums the chance to meet up in a luxury cottage and nobody's going to turn that down.
There's a large modern kitchen with a cosy wooden dining table and all the amenities you could need, a living room with comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove and a handy utility room with its washing machine and dryer. The subject of our conversations have changed somewhat over the years and, as you can imagine, we're more likely to discuss the price of a food shop than a Student Union pint these days, but even we stooped particularly low with a 10-minute conversation about how comfortable the pillows were. Seriously though, we'd never sampled anything like it.
Everything was provided to make it as easy as possible for us, including a welcome pack containing a bottle of prosecco and some locally sourced produce such as Saddleworth butter, milk and orange juice from Saddleworth Milk and tasty brownies from Flitcroft's Home Baked.
