'We target the criminal gangs stealing from the taxpayer.'

Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have seized thousands of cigarettes and hand-rolling tobacco products during searches in Co Derry on Thursday.

Over 11,000 cigarettes and more than 5kg of HRT was seized by HMRC. The suspected illicit tobacco products are worth an estimated £7,000 in lost duty and taxes.HMRC officers said that no arrests were made, but enquiries are continuing.
