DETECTIVES ARE continuing to search and trawl through hours of CCTV footage in efforts to find missing Owami Davies who could still be in Croydon, police have said.She was captured on CCTV walking with a man on Derby Road, west-Croydon three days later.of Ms Davies at around 12:30pm on Thursday 7 July.
She was wearing a dark jacket, a red Adidas T-shirt, light grey joggers, slider type shoes and was carrying a white handbag over her shoulder walking north on London Road, Croydon, away from West Croydon.Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Penney, who is leading the investigation, said Owami’s family would be “grateful” if someone was to come forward with information after reported sightings of the missing woman.
“The search to find Owami Davies continues and we are conducting searches, appeals and extensive CCTV enquiries in order to trace and find her. I would remind people that even though detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating, this remains a missing person enquiry,” he said. “We are obviously very concerned for the welfare of Owami and it is possible she is in the local area and in need of help. We have reports of someone of Owami’s description being seen in the Croydon area in the days after she was last seen on CCTV and we sincerely hope to find her safe and well.”
Owami, who was described as being in a “vulnerable” place, was nearing the end of her studies at King’s College London before vanishing.
