The NT government will no longer grant new permits to own a pet crocodile, leaving some 'devastated' and the NT opposition saying it would 'review' the new rules.

Anyone in the NT who wants to own a crocodile as a pet is no longer able to get a permit.Under the NT government's wide-ranging new crocodile management plan, no new permits will be granted for Territorians to own a pet croc. The NT election is on Saturday, and if it wins the Country Liberal Party says it may review and possibly overturn Territory Labor 's permit policy.
