A Sunshine Coast father is pleading for public help to track down the driver of a stolen car who allegedly ran his daughter off the road on Christmas Day, leaving her with serious injuries.
Charlie Eaton was one of the first people on the scene and stayed with Ebony until emergency services arrived.
"My only role was to talk to her and keep her calm and to call her parents keep them calm, and have them on speaker with Ebony until the ambulance arrived," Ms Eaton said. "The guy who pulled up right before us got Ebony out of her car and just sat down with her … Ebony stayed calm and strong the whole time."She had much more blood on her [than the photos show]," she said.Mr Rich says he fears what would have happened if his son had still been sitting in the front passenger seat.
"She'd just dropped one of my sons off, and if he was in the passenger seat of the car he would not have survived. The passenger side of the car does not exist.""This parasite who left my daughter in this situation continued on … so the message it out there for everyone to try to find him," Mr Rich said.
"I think he should hand himself into police. I think it would be a less painful way to go about things because there's not a lot of happy people about this.Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
