The Berks County District Attorney’s Office said Michael J. Conner Jr., who has worked with the Reading School District since 2020, is facing multiple charges involving the abuse of a 13-year-old.
A fifth-grade teacher with the Reading School District surrendered himself to authorities on Monday, accused of multiple sexual abuse offenses involving a student.
Investigators received a Childline report in September, saying that Conner had exchanged sexually inappropriate messages with the teen, the DA’s office said. Text messages reviewed in the investigation confirmed the teen’s allegation that sexually explicit messages were sent between the two, including Conner asking for explicit videos, the DA’s office said.
