Police said the suspect confessed to the crime and wrote apologies to the victim's family and friends.
Police said they arrested Curtis Coleman III, 19, of Farrell, Mercer County, while he was working at a fast food restaurant for the death of Gavin D. Beighley, 17.
Beighley was cycling with friends at around 9 p.m. Saturday in Sharon, Mercer County, when someone fired shots at them, the news outlet reported. Beighley suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso,Coleman’s brother told police his sibling had fired the the shots at the bicyclists, WFMJ said. Upon his arrest, Coleman police said admitted he had shot Beighley and had hid the gun in his room.
