In the months leading up to the inaugural Pacific Championships, a call came from the Papua New Guinea Kumuls."I was born in Port Moresby, and my dad was working over there and that's where my parents met." They have a chance to be promoted to next year's Pacific Cup when they face New Zealand."If we get a win on Sunday, it just shows that PNG are ready for a NRL team.
Young NRL stars such as Lehi Hopoate, Haumole Olakau'atu and Isaiya Katoa helped engineer Tonga's thrilling one-point win over New Zealand last week, helping them qualify for the decider with Australia.
