Pacific Ocean Marketplace, a business that calls itself “Denver’s largest and best Asian supermarket,” was recently acquired by Great Wall Supermarket, a national chain.it more than three decades ago, opening the Denver location at 2200 West Alameda Ave. in the late 1980s. The Broomfield site at 6600 West 120th Ave. followed in 2005, with the newest Pacific Ocean Marketplace opening in 2014 in Aurora at 12303 East Mississippi Ave.
“We are grateful for our local community support through various associations, Chinese newspapers/magazines, other local businesses, and, of course, our loyal customers who have shopped at our locations throughout the years,” Lam wrote in an emailed statement. POM offers products from China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea and more, claiming to be “one of the leading providers of fresh seafood throughout Colorado and metro Denver.”
