It's been a week to forget for Top Gear presenter PaddyMcGuinness
Paddy McGuinness was a picture of despondency this week, as the BBC indefinitely paused production on his motoring series Top Gear.
News of Top Gear's axe arrived on Thursday in light of 45 year old Freddie's life-threatening injury while working behind the wheel for the show. Back in December at Surrey's Dunsfold Aerodrome, he was involved in a horrific accident that saw him airlifted to hospital. "We understand this will be disappointing for fans, but it is the right thing to do, and we’ll make a judgment about how best to continue later this year.
Freddie's Christmastime dice with death wasn't his first either, as a 2019 road smash at 124mph was proceeded by the star hurtling down a runway just inches off the ground in a three-wheeled cycle car."I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in Top Gear drag races but, on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far," he commented in the aftermath. "It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.
