Paedophile and ex-Labor minister Milton Orkopoulos paroled | AngusGthompson

Former NSW Labor minister and child sex offender Milton Orkopoulos has been granted parole after spending more than 11½ years in jail.

Lawyers on behalf of the NSW government said Orkopoulos used his "position of esteem" to gain the trust of his victims, aged between 15 and 20. The disgraced former politician's lawyer, Omar Juweinat, said it was in the public interest to release his client, who had exhausted all available rehabilitation programs while behind bars.
