Multiple emergency crews are responding to an incident at Mount Clear in Victoria where two people have become trapped under a collapsed mine.
Two people trapped under rock after collapse at Ballarat Gold Mine in Mount Clear as major rescue operation underway
Two people, who are believed to be stuck under the collapsed rock, remain unaccounted for, more than two hours since the search operation began. It is not open to the public. Entry into the facility has also strictly been restricted to mine workers and emergency services while the rescue operation remains underway. "Paramedics are at the scene but there are no patients at this stage. An air ambulance has been dispatched," Ambulance Victoria said in a statement.
