Police are trying to trace a man after a 53-year-old man was assaulted at a flat in Paisley. Emergency services were called to Gallowhill Road on Sunday afternoon.
The 53-year-old man was in the property on Gallowhill Road around 2.40pm on Sunday when the incident unfolded.Enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to trace a man.Detective Sergeant David Tomlison of CID said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing, we are carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace the man responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw the man in the area before or after the incident. I would also appeal to any motorists or taxi drivers who have dash cam footage, you may have captured something that would assist our investigation. "Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2156 of 27 August or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
