Speculation has reportedly swirled from MPs within in the state Labor party about the Premier's leadership in recent weeks, ahead of her return from overseas. Asked if she was aware of sources inside the party revealing that backbenchers have been complaining about a lack of access to her, Ms Palaszczuk said her"door is always open".
"I've led this party through three successful election victories and, you know, elections are tough. The thing that energises me is the people of this state. I meet them every single day. She pointed to some political highlights during her terms as Premier, including guiding Queensland through the pandemic, social justice reforms, and securing the 2023 Olympics Games.
