Reducing school suspension for bullies is 'no solution at all' | Sky News AustraliaReducing school suspension for bullies is 'no solution at all' | Sky News AustraliaNSW One Nation leader Mark Latham has slammed the state government’s decision to reduce suspension for school bullies from 20 to 10 days as 'no solution at all'.\n\nThe NSW government announced the maximum school suspension for students would be cut down from 20 days to 10, and mandated students could only be sent home for acts of physical violence.\n\n “For a lot of the victims of bullying and thuggery in the schools, a 20 day suspension gives the students and the parents some peace of mind that for at least four school weeks that student is free of the thug, the bully, who’s been terrorising them in the school, beating them black and blue.,' Mr Latham told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. \n\n“A rest bite, when the bully is out of the school on suspension, is actually a good thing for the victim.\n\n“Reducing the period of suspension from 20 to 10 day makes it more likely that these victims of violence in schools will cop it again and again.”\n\nImage: Getty\n\n
