Palestine has moved to cut all ties with Israel and the United States after rejecting President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan. The blueprint called for the creation of a demilitarised Palestinian state, excluding Jewish settlements.

Under the plan the US would also recognise Israeli settlements on occupied West Bank land, and Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas refused to negotiate with President Trump and did not believe the plan would achieve peace. Image: Getty
