In 'In No Other Land,' Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist and journalist, documents the ongoing struggle of residents in Firing Zone 918 in the West Bank, where they face eviction and restrictions despite their long-term presence.

Adra, one of two co-directors, first picked up a camera as a teenager to record demolitions in a neighbouring village: "There was an anger nobody knew about this, that it had become routine." "They kept coming, almost weekly to the area, and then we decided together that we wanted to start something bigger than using social media or writing articles," says Adra.
At one point in the film, Adra bluntly imparts some hard-won advice to his exasperated co-director: "Get used to failing. You're a loser." "The challenge here was to take 20 years and condense it into 95 minutes, and to take a situation that is repetitive and show the movement of life … the editing is a way to reveal the process of erasing a community."For Adra, it was important to balance the scenes of devastation with depictions of his people "trying to find a life for themselves", reflected in the film's vignettes of daily life, protests and the rebuilding of demolished homes..
While No Other Land has experienced a celebrated festival run and emerged as a frontrunner for the impending Oscars race, the film is still awaiting formal distribution in the United States. Small screenings have been held in Abraham's home of Tel Aviv, as well as Masafer Yatta, where the film has been met with a strong reception.
