Police said a 55-year-old Washington man was found inside the closed store wearing a pair of stolen gloves.
PALO ALTO – A 55-year-old Amboy, Washington man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a Goodwill of Silicon Valley store in Palo Alto, police said.
At 9:23 p.m. Thursday, a burglar alarm was tripped at the store at 4085 El Camino Way, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. Officers arrived to discover an open door at the back of the building. They searched the store and found a man inside. Police said an investigation revealed the man had entered the closed store through the door, which had likely been left unlocked.
“Once inside, the suspect began selecting items to steal,” police said in a news release. “At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wearing a pair of gloves stolen from the store.”Related Articles
