The takeaway business confirmed plans to axe the 'underperforming' locations after launching a review at the start of the year
Pizza giant Papa Johns is set to close 43 eateries all over the UK, announcing the decision after a comprehensive review earlier this year. Expected to shut by mid-May following discussions, these spots were labelled as "underperforming" and deemed no longer profitable, according to Papa Johns International.
Previously, the company expressed an intention for "strategic closures" intending to save funds for investment and boost profitability in its remaining UK branches. Now, 43 restaurants have been pinpointed as these financially unsustainable, underperforming locations.The list of shops that are to be closed includes:.-Billericay, Essex.-Darlington, County Durham.-East Grinstead, West Sussex.-Harrogate, North Yorkshire.-Leeds Meanwood, West Yorkshire.-Mottingham, Greater London.
The company stated that it will close the restaurants by mid-May after finishing a consultation process. Papa Johns International did not confirm the number of staff that will be affected by the closures. It has now identified 43 restaurants as "underperforming locations that are no longer financially viable". , Kent.- Wimbledon, Greater London.
