Mr Abebe has been a taxi driver in Melbourne for 18 years, but when the pandemic broke out he took time off from his job to lessen the risk of bringing the virus home to his partner and children. “They changed their plans, they didn’t want to go anywhere because the virus went global. I am missing them. I hope they can come and help take care of the little one.”
