Sometimes the oldest ideas are the best
From sprinkling paddling pools to fancy parasols, the shops are full to the brim of ways to spend your money this summer.
But one nan's idea for making a shaded area in the garden for her grandchildren has been praised, despite being the simplest of creations.Paula Jones shared a photo of a homemade teepee tent she created from some wood and a old duvet sheet and was inundated with parents praising her 'genius' idea. Sharing a photo in a Facebook group for savvy shoppers, she said: "Grandaughters are coming for the day tomorrow, so few pieces of scrap wood and old duvet cover, made them a sun free area for free."
Hundreds of people reacted to the post, many saying they have memories of creating something similar for their children and others saying it's inspired them to copy the idea."Wow I love this," said another. "I'm going to try it for my little people."Paula, from Wrexham, said her grandchildren, four-year-old Maisi Jones and three-year-old Talia Gwatkin, loved their little den and popped in and out of it while also using the paddling pool.
