News, views and video as the countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics continues ahead of the opening ceremony on July 26.
The British Olympic Association has named the six shooters who will represent Team GB at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.Seonaid McIntosh, Britain’s most successful female rifle shooter of all time, returns to Team GB for her second Games after Tokyo 2020. The 28-year-old is a World Champion and triple European Champion.McIntosh is joined by Amber Rutter, a World Champion and four-time European champion, who has made it into the squad, less than two months after giving birth in April.
Lucy Hall completes the women’s squad travelling to Paris, with the 20-year-old set to compete in her first Games, after her silver medal at the 2022 European Championships, which she followed with a World Cup gold medal a year later, her first senior championship title.In the men’s Olympic Trap event, Matt Coward-Holley, who secured a bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 in his first Games appearance, competes alongside Nathan Hales who is currently ranked number two in the world.
