Brian Goorjian has ended his second stint as the national side's head coach after the Boomers' heartbreaking quarterfinal loss to Serbia.
Australia's men's basketball team is on the lookout for a new head coach after Brian Goorjian revealed his time with the Boomers had come to an end.Australia led by as many as 24 points in the second term of the quarterfinal, before Serbia roared back, led by NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.The might of the Serbian side — the world number four ranked team — proved too strong for the Australian underdogs, who were bundled out of Olympic contention 95-90.
"When I get off the plane, I'll walk away feeling proud of my contribution over my 16 years I've been with the Boomers," Goorjian said.
