The women's basketball team will be looking to rebound after their opening-day loss to Nigeria. Meanwhile, the men's and women's field hockey teams will seek a solid position in the next round.
The first week of the Paris Olympics is almost over and Australia is at fourth place on the medal table with seven gold, six silver and three bronze medals. Notching up that position on day six of the Games will mostly rely on our performance in the pool, as other scheduled events are preliminaries or group stage matches.
Meanwhile, the so-far-undefeated Hockeyroos will face a tough challenge, going head-to-head with Argentina, who finished second at the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo and currently share the top pool spot with Australia. Ten of the 16 medals Australia have won so far at the Paris Games have come from the swim team. They'll want to keep that momentum going once again early on Friday.
